Mink (1888)

The American Gilded Age proffered more than Reconstruction and a growth in American urban centers. It was a time when America began to shift from the agrarian society to the capitalist industrial society. Yet, despite this shift, the US government continued to release yearly copies of the Agricultural Yearbook. This unique plate shows the mink, which was covered by a special report for the Yearbook.
