Locomobile Limousine Plate
Today, Ford, Chevy, and GMC are household names, but without Locomobile, none of these companies would exist. When the company was first founded in 1899, it produced steam engine cars; unheard of today, and for good reason. The cars often caught fire, and were finicky. The author Rudyard Kipling once describes the cars as "nickel-plated fraud." After 1903, the company switched to internal combustion engines, and created the vehicles shown.
